As global trade continues to evolve, few regions hold as much promise as Latin America’s mining heartland. At Strudex, our mission has always been to bring world-class rubber wear-resistant products to the global market. And this June, that mission took us to the 21st edition of EXPONOR 2026 in Antofagasta, Chile—a city that truly opened its arms to us in the most unforgettable way.
A Gateway to Latin American Mining
Held from June 8 to 11, 2026, EXPONOR 2026 is one of the largest mining and energy exhibitions in the world, ranking third globally and serving as a premier platform for industry innovation.
The scale and caliber of the event confirmed what we had long suspected: Antofagasta is not just Chile’s mining capital, but a true gateway to the entire Latin American mining industry.
An Honor Like No Other:Meeting Mayor Sacha Razmilic
What made our EXPONOR experience truly extraordinary, however, was an unexpected and highly gracious gesture from the city’s leadership. We had the distinct honor of being personally received by the Mayor of Antofagasta, Mr. Sacha Razmilic Burgos, at the AIA Exhibition Center.
His reception of our delegation was nothing short of warm and inspiring. As we entered the meeting area, we were greeted with genuine enthusiasm and an openness that set the tone for the entire conversation. Mayor Razmilic took time out of an extremely busy schedule—EXPONOR is a major event that places immense demands on local government resources—to sit down with us, learn about who we are, and explore the solutions we bring to the mining industry.
Discovering Strudex:A Closer Look at Innovation and Quality
During our conversation, Mayor Razmilic showed deep interest in our products and technology. He asked thoughtful questions about our manufacturing capabilities, our global reach, and most importantly, how Strudex contributes to the efficiency and sustainability of mineral processing operations.
We were delighted to present to him our full range of rubber wear-resistant products, including flotation machine rotors and stators, mill liners, modular vibrating screens, PU belt cleaners and magnetic liners. When he saw our modular rubber screening panels up close, his eyes lit up with genuine appreciation. He examined the fine craftsmanship, the precision of the molding, and the robust material quality, and remarked with admiration: “The appearance and finish are truly impressive. This is the kind of quality we have come to expect from Chinese manufacturing.”
It was a powerful moment of validation—not just for our product, but for the countless hours our engineering and production teams have poured into refining every detail. Mayor Razmilic went on to acknowledge the reputation that Chinese enterprises have built in Chile. He emphasized that his administration is committed to supporting mutually beneficial business partnerships that bring value to both the local economy and international collaborators.
Engaging with Global Suppliers and Forging New Partnerships
While the encounter with Mayor Razmilic was a highlight, EXPONOR 2026 offered so much more. As a truly international event, the exhibition floor was a vibrant tapestry of innovation, bringing together companies from China, Germany, the United States, Canada, and other nations.
Throughout the four days, we engaged with raw material suppliers, complementary equipment manufacturers, and downstream users. Leveraging our expertise in rubber wear-resistant solutions and product adaptability for high-altitude conditions, we are pleased to announce that we finalized several new strategic collaborations with companies from Chile and Peru. These partnerships range from distribution agreements to joint technical development initiatives, each designed to expand our footprint in the region and deliver greater value to mining operators throughout the continent.
The Role of China-Chile Collaboration in Mining
Our experience at EXPONOR 2026 confirmed what many analysts have long observed: the synergy between Chinese manufacturing excellence and Chilean mining expertise is a powerful engine for industry advancement. China has become a key supplier of industrial equipment and technology to Chile’s mining sector, and Strudex is proud to be part of that story.
With over 30 years of experience serving the global mining industry, Strudex has built a reputation for high-quality rubber screening solutions, modular systems compatible with major brands including Metso, Schenck, Multotec and among others.
Looking Ahead:What’s Next for Strudex
In the months ahead, we will be focused on:
Strengthening our new partnerships in Chile and neighboring markets
Expanding our product portfolio to meet the specific demands of Latin American mining operations
Enhancing our local support network to ensure faster response and better service for customers in the region
Continuing to innovate in rubber wear-resistant technology
